They are the only ones that have been caught at this point. They were flea-infested, but after a bath, they are happy little kitties. Thanks to track vet, Dr. Brown, for catching & bathing them.

37E / 41434 ... She was the runt in the litter but, has caught up quite nicely with the rest of the litter. She is a squealer when the others come around her and therefore gets her little butt beat up quite often. I have had her in with only 2 other females and still they beat her up. I have put her in a pen by herself but, that is no life for her alone. I have decided to pet her out and she is the sweetest little thing you'd ever want to meet. She is lead broke and does very well, loves to play with my little iggy. She has those lonnnnnnnnnnnng ears that stick straight up in the air, hence her nickname "Sphinxy"

This little girl will henceforth be known as "Evelyn", in honor of her benefactor, the late mother-in-law of Greyhound Adoption of Ohio supporter, Rosemarie Chrisant.
On x-ray BB does not have a broken leg. Possibly ligament/soft tissue/joint injury/infection. Her wrist is swollen (pirulent with white cells no bacteria) and she had a slight fever. She’s on cephalexin and rimadyl and is doing great. We’ll let you know more as we know it. She’s a kissy happy girl with a helicopter tail wag and is needing a forever home.
Held for the March 11 haul.

Fabio broke his leg somehow, very shortly after birth.
Update 8/2/5 ... Fabio has been diagnosed as having tibial diaphyseal malunion with secondary angular limb deformity. He will have a corrective osteotomy with bone plate stabilization and tendon lengthening on 8/3/5.

84B / 28589... Kermit broke his pelvis around 6/24/05 - he will heal fine, but will not race ... as of 7/11, Kermit is being allowed a little more freedom. He has been moved from total crate rest to a small indoor / outdoor run. 8/22 - Kermit has been neutered and is ready to go, he should have very few (maybe some arthritis) long-term effects from his injury. He's a great dog!!!

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with them, they are just tiny.
94C / 29363 ... this very laid-back and sweet boy broke his leg about a month ago, it was surgically repaired, but the repair did not hold ... he had surgery May 3, 2005.

This little guy broke his front leg a couple weeks prior to coming to Greyhound Support on Feb. 6. He is just about as sweet as they come!
The fracture, which is officially called a "radioulnar diaphyseal fracture malunion with functional synostosis", was repaired during surgery on Feb. 8 and Hawkins is recovering beautifully :)

122D / 16799 ... reason for adoption is unusual, not really sure what happened to her. She started rapid weight loss, was taken to vet, bloodwork showed nothing. Vet concluded it was trauma related. Either got beat up, over ran herself, hit house or fence ... ??? Can't really say for sure. This was several weeks ago and now she is fine, but smaller than her littermates. She weighs about 40#.
